Clearance: TOP SECRET SCI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $53,000

Xenith Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Solutions R&D Analyst to join our team in support of a government contract.

Contract Overview:

Supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in meeting mission, goals, and objectives that will improve the ability to identify, protect, respond, and recover from increased cyber security threats. This contract will achieve these goals through modernizing the Cyber Security Incident Response processes and procedures, enhancing Multi-Cloud Incident Response processes and procedures, enhancing Cyber Threat Intelligence capabilities, and enhancing Cyber Threat Hunting capabilities.

Job Description:

As a member of the team, you will support our prime contractor supporting the best practices in industry. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. 

Cyber Security Solutions R&D consists of subject matter expert(s) capable of solving complex security issues, conduct R&D activities, assist with documenting Analysis of Alternative, identify, recommend, and develop capabilities to cover security gaps, assist in enhancing processes and procedures across ISD, are the highest technical escalation point for all technical issues within this task order, and work special cyber security projects assigned by CISO. Cyber Security Solutions R&D shall serve as a bridge between the various Task Areas to ensure continuity of operations along with having sufficient technical experience and level of authority.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

·       BA/BS or minimum of five years of experience in security engineering or security operations and five years of experience in security incident response

·       Have and maintain ISC2 CISSP or other comparable certification which must be approved in advance by the SOC PM on a case-by-case basis   

·       Shall have and maintain a CISM and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification or other comparable certification.

·       Shall be able to attain up to a Final TOP SECRET SCI Clearance

·       Must meet SCI eligibility (ICD 704) with no Waivers or Conditions

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong presentation, report writing and customer interface skills.
  • Familiarity with various operations systems such as Microsoft Windows, various versions of UNIX (AIX, Solaris, HPUX, etc), and Linux.
  • Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and other major protocols (i.e., NetBEUI, NETBIOS, IPX/SPX) and the inherent weaknesses of the protocols.
  • Understanding of ‘hacking’ methodology concerning performing a vulnerability assessment.
  • Ability to describe a system's avenues of compromise in a network environment and differentiate between various types of network attacks.
  • An understanding of a typical secure topology and architecture for a site connected to the Internet (i.e., routers, firewalls, web servers).
  • Understanding of how to read and interpret a network diagram and identify possible security related concerns.
  • The ability to keep a robust security skill set current and to work on multiple projects concurrently.
