TRI-CITY CARDIOLOGY CONSULTANTS PC is Hiring a CODER Near Mesa, AZ

  • Position Location: East Mesa/AdminOffice (Power & Main)
  • Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

This position ensures that all charges and payments are posted timely and provides daily support to the financial services team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Codes and post all hospital, E&M and office charges accurately (confirming demographics, correct diagnosis and procedure coding) timely. Codes and posts hospital procedures as assigned.
  • Creates new patient charts and verifies insurance.
  • Creates and maintains daily hospital rounding sheets.
  • Creates and maintains physician lacking lists week
  • Provides physician education on E&M and coding guidelines.
  • Maintains timely posting of all office, E&M and hospital charges. Communicates any delays in posting to supervisor
  • Continues to stay current on insurance, billing and coding rationale, modifiers and authorization requirements for accurate billing and coding.
  • Handles phone calls from physicians and staff regarding CPT and ICD-10 questions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications

High school diploma or GED.

One year of experience in medical billing department


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Three years previous medical coding experience preferred.
