Job Overview:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our legal team.
As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, briefs, discovery responses, and witness/exhibit lists
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other agencies
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate written transcripts
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
- Proficient in using iManage or similar legal case management software
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of legal research methods and resources
- Familiarity with medical malpractice and personal injury law
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
