Primary Responsibilities:

• Works with analysts to interpret high level requirements, decomposing them into acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Be involved in creating and maintaining all test documentation and artifacts including but not limited to test plans, test cases, test data, defect reports, etc
• Interface and communicate with internal teams and external support groups.
• Report task progress, suggest creative ideas and approaches for improvement, and escalate issues to the Sr. QA Analyst and Lead Analyst.
• Participate in all phase of software development while working in an Agile environment.
• Participates in preliminary story review, providing constructive feedback and input on work effort estimation as well as design.
• Actively works on broadening or adding a skill.

Skills & Software Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any STEM field
• 0-2 years of experience as a Software Test /QA analyst
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle environments including designing and manipulating test data.
• Experience in working with and integrating APIs with external Clients/Systems
• Experience with Web Services/API testing using SOAP UI/Postman
• Experience using different types of testing/project management tools including HP Application LifeCycle Management (ALM), Quality Center (QC), Team Foundation Server (TFS), IBM Rational Clear Quest (CQ), Atlassian JIRA, QAComplete, etc.
• Automation testing experience preferred (Selenium, UFT)
• Knowledgeable in ETL testing environments with experience writing complex SQL for validation for data mapping rules
• Highly motivated and willing to go above and beyond the requirement of the role
