We are currently hiring for Tree Service Fleet Mechanic/Crew Member positions. Employee responsibilities will be basic fleet/equipment maintenance, but will also serve as a fill-in/floater Crew Member when needed. Candidates MUST have 2-3 years' mechanical experience and a valid Driver License with a clean driving record. Candidates should be enthusiastic, work well with others as a team, and be safety-oriented. This job involves/requires:

-Proficient in basic preventative maintenance on trucks, including DOT-regulated trucks and equipment (skid steers, stump grinders, etc.) (familiarity with hydraulics a plus) and excellent problem-solving skills

-Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform inspections and repairs and lift at least 50-100 pounds regularly

-Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions, including in a noisy environment with moving equipment/odors present

-Ability to read service and repair manuals/conduct research as needed for parts, etc.

-Highly organized and excellent communication skills

-Assisting on jobsites with trimming and removing trees of all sizes

-Bucket and/or grapple truck operation

-Driving a tool truck with a 22-foot trailer loaded with equipment

-Stump grinder, skid steer, and frequent chainsaw operation

-Focus on safety and teamwork and proper use of PPE

-Ability to work outdoors and handle extreme weather conditions

-CDL Class B (no restrictions) or higher preferred

-Diesel mechanic certification a major plus

-Familiarity with Fleetio a plus
