AKA Tree Service is looking to hire skilled and safety-conscious groundskeepers to join our team at our Gallatin TN location. Bucket Truck experience is a major plus!!

A groundskeeper will assist tree crews by working on the ground and handing tools and heavy materials to crew members. The ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop. The ability to transport heavy items. Excellent balance and depth perception. Superb communication skills. Groundskeepers must be able to follow instructions and have good communication skills. They must be able to climb ladders and be able to perform strenuous physical labor under all types of conditions. A good groundskeeper understands how to work areas clean and organized; always ensures job site cleanliness.

The groundskeeper will be responsible for assisting the tree climbers in the removal of trees, trimming of branches, and general maintenance of trees and shrubs. The ideal candidate will have experience in tree care and a strong commitment to safety.

Groundsperson Responsibilities:

• Assist tree climbers in the removal of trees and trimming of branches
• Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders
• Perform general maintenance of trees and shrubs, including pruning and fertilizing
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Operate a Bucket Truck

Groundsperson Requirements:

• Experience in tree care or related field (preferred)
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment
• Strong commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Groundsperson Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb trees and work at heights
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
