We treat patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) using medications such as methadone and suboxone/ buprenorphine. Day in the Life: 50% Travel: Conduct visits to Virginia and Kentucky full-scale labs, as well as visits to Pennsylvania full-scale lab (in accordance with CLIA and state-specific regulations). Conduct visits to Pennsylvania CLIA waived centers. 25% Work with Providers: Conduct ongoing education and training for healthcare providers to keep them updated on advancements and best practices in toxicology testing. Interpret laboratory test results and provide consultation to healthcare providers for patient diagnosis and treatment decisions. 25% Direct Lab Oversight: Collaborate with executive leadership to optimize laboratory operations, including workflow and resource management. Lead initiatives for research and development in toxicology testing, including the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance laboratory capabilities. Ensure compliance with CLIA and state-specific regulations, including maintaining documentation, participating in audits and inspections, and implementing corrective actions. Direct clinical analyses of therapeutic and illicit drugs, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results. Develop methods and models to provide results. Position Requirements: Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field required. PhD in Toxicology would be ideal. Minimum of 5 years' experience in high-complexity toxicology testing. At least 2 years in a leadership role. Must have directed a lab prior. CLIA regulations and experience maintaining compliance in a clinical laboratory setting are a must.
