Position Overview The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all patient testing is performed in accordance with established laboratory policies and procedures, payor requirements, as well as applicable state and federal requirements, including CLIA regulations. As part of such duties, this position would also be responsible for overseeing accurate processing, analyzing, and reporting of laboratory results in a timely manner, as well as performance of LC/MS testing, while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned. Supervise personnel, adjust priorities, and oversee employee schedules to ensure appropriate lab coverage at all times. Review proficiency testing results, incident reports, and oversee specimen accessioning and quality control functions. Assure appropriate training and comprehension of lab personnel for quality assurance. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, and OSHA regulations, including maintaining confidentiality and understanding and adhering to regulatory requirements. Evaluate test volume versus supply orders to maintain adequate inventory levels. Review, revise, and communicate changes to policies and procedures to affected parties. Oversees scheduled maintenance, corrective actions, and troubleshooting to ensure result quality and performance efficiency through the maintaining of lab documentation. Supervisory experience preferred.
