Heavy Equipment Farm Tractor operator needed for commercial slope mowing on government contracts in West Palm Beach Florida.

• We are searching for a trustworthy and reliable individual with agricultural tractor mowing experience to join our crew.
• As a tractor driver, your responsibilities will include operating a newer model mid-sized John Deere 6120 farm tractor with A / C while pulling a 15’ or 20’ batwing for flat mowing of right of way and canal banks in West Palm Beach, FL.
• Some string trimming and ground work may periodically be required.
• You will report to the project supervisor and should be comfortable working alone for long periods.
• To be successful as a tractor driver, you should have good concentration skills and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Outstanding tractor drivers are detail-oriented and demonstrate strength as well as active listening skills.

Heavy Equipment Farm Tractor Driver Responsibilities :

• Operating tractors safely and efficiently.
• Performing inspections of tractors and mowing attachments and ensuring they are well-lubricated and operational.
• Driving and carrying out basic regular maintenance of tractors and other farm implements.
• Using tractors to pull agricultural mowing equipment.
• Reporting any faults or concerns to the supervisor.
• Remaining alert while driving and servicing the tractor, and maintaining the appropriate speed limit at all times.
• Completing minor repairs on tractor and equipment.

Heavy Equipment Farm Tractor Driver Requirements :

• A relevant driver’s license.
• Agricultural tractor mowing operating experience.
• Batwing / Rotary Cutter experience
• The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards.
• The ability to carry out duties unsupervised, in harsh weather conditions, and during irregular hours when required.
• The ability to follow supervisor written and verbal instructions.
• Perform safe operation of Tractor & Batwing mower
• Perform general labor tasks, light mechanics
• Perform daily equipment inspection
• Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Ability to adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions
• Attach farm implements such as batwing mowers and sprayers, using bolts and hand tools
