TRC is hiring an Instructional Designer for our client located in Valley Forge/King of Prussia, PA!
  • Contract opportunity through December
  • Full time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for the development of role-based learning solutions for the company's systems and/or internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include, creating training materials. ensuring that training materials are in line with end user needs and stakeholder expectations. and building and testing the training and/or performance support products. Will also support e-learning development efforts including designing and developing standalone e-learning. revising existing e-learning. writing assessments, conducting internal reviews of draft e-learning. etc.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Design. develop and implement training materials/curriculum. Materials may include participant guides. business process flows. work instructions, exercises, simulations, quick references, job aids, post-tests. and instructor guides.
  • Translate needs analysis and functional specifications into detailed curriculum and course designs
  • Develop training and performance support material based on course designs.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to accurately define context and step by step process to complete a given procedure
  • Work with subject matter experts and process teams to design and develop audience-appropriate (role-based). clear, and concise training documentation.
  • Work with process and implementation teams to ensure timely and accurate reviews of training materials
  • Ensure learning objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the raining materials meet the learning objectives.
  • Develop training materials with appropriate version control and document management guidelines including content review. revision and sign-off cycles
  • Develop materials consistent with the project documentation standards and templates.
  • Monitor and report effectiveness of all training conducted, knowledge checks, course evaluations, and tests
  • Participates in preparation activities for training delivery including but not limited to train the trainer sessions
  • Collaborate win Course Owners. the Training Team. and other groups as applicable to enroll learners in the appropriate courses and/or curricula for their role.
  • Partner with Subject-Matter-Experts (SME's) and/or Process Owners to design and develop engaging e-learning courses that meet learning objectives.
  • Manage content lifecycle in the LMS (creation, testing, deployment, and retirement); content could include e-learning courses, assessments, evaluations, and virtual/in-person training sessions.
  • Adhere to established LMS standards. policies. and procedures.
  • Monitor usage and performance of the LMS.
  • Maintain the LMS on a day to day basis to include loading content to the LMS, running reports, making/removing assignments. etc.
  • Collaborate with other LMS Administrators across the business units to share best practices/techniques, coordinate deployment of content across multiple business units, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • SAP ERP 2005 {ECC 6.0) Order to Cash process knowledge a plus
  • Oil and Gas industry knowledge a plus
  • Excellent instructional design and development skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills including virtual classroom delivery Basic project management/organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of needs analysis/assessment
  • Advanced knowledge of adult learning and instructional design theory, principles, and practice
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems including course enrollments, reporting and troubleshooting
Education And Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Advanced experience in e-learning/simulation software: Adobe Captivate/Creative Cloud, Articulate Storyline, Photoshop/Fireworks, Audacity, Video production and editing experience a plus

  • Normal Office/Remote environments
  • Some travel required approximately 20%
