OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY
TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an on-call Wildlife Technician to join our Permitting, Planning and Licensing Practice. This is an on-call position reporting to our Seattle, Washington office primarily supporting field work in Oregon, Idaho, and throughout the western U.S. The position will be primarily a field position, although some office time, either remote or in-office, depending on the technician's location, will be required for data verification, report writing, and staff meetings.
The position will work with other environmental resources staff to support TRC's avian services in the Pacific Northwest region. The successful candidate will execute avian and other biological field studies and prepare technical reports. Duties include following established field protocols to perform avian sampling and field data collection at new and existing sampling plots.
The primary focus of this position will be to conduct avian surveys in support of wind energy projects, although there may be opportunities to support a wide variety of projects in the Pacific Northwest area including renewable energy, power transmission, infrastructure utilities, pipelines, mining, and state or federal transportation projects depending on the technician's availability and skillset.
We are seeking an enthusiastic avian biologist technician with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence. It is anticipated that this position will involve 50 - 80 hours a month.
