The Teacher Assistant will report to the Elementary Summer Academy Director and assist students as needed. The teacher assistant will also assist the classroom teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities.

Dates and Times:

Student Summer Program: June 18 - August 1, 2024; 8:30am - 2:15pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (six (6) weeks, three (3) days per week)

Teacher Assistant work time: 8:15am - 2:30pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

No school the week of July 4 (July 1 - July 5, 2024)

Locations:

Blair Elementary School and Traverse Heights Elementary School (1 assistant per location)

Schedule and Pay:

• Current hourly instructional assistant (Class III) rate or sub rate, whichever is higher; paid via timesheet 
• Training and prep: June 17, 2024 (full day)
• July 1 - July 5, 2024 - No School (no pay)

Positions Available:

2 Teacher Assistants (1 assistant at each location)

Required Credential:

Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma. Previous college credit, WorkKeys certification or college degree preferred
