What We’re Looking ForTravelpro is seeking a Director of North America Retail to join our Sales department! The primary objective of this is to provide strategic leadership and vision to optimize the overall performance and profitability of the retail outlet division. This key leadership role involves developing and executing comprehensive retail strategies, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring the consistent delivery of an exceptional customer experience across all stores.What You’ll DoYou will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture, overseeing store operations, and implementing effective merchandising and marketing strategies. With a focus on maximizing revenue, enhancing brand presence, and achieving operational excellence, the Director of Retail Stores plays a pivotal role in shaping the retail landscape, driving growth, and ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. You will also:

  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to drive sales, enhance customer experience, and achieve financial targets, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational objectives. 
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of store managers, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the retail organization. 
  • Direct and manage day-to-day retail operations, including inventory control, merchandising, staffing, and compliance, to maintain operational efficiency and uphold brand standards across all retail locations. 
  • Implement effective merchandising and marketing strategies as well as oversee the assortment planning for each store. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute compelling merchandising and promotional initiatives that enhance the visual appeal of stores, drive customer engagement, and maximize sales opportunities. 
  • Regularly assess key performance indicators, sales data, and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities, implementing data-driven decision-making processes to continuously improve retail store performance and profitability. 
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years’ of progressive experience in retail management, including a proven track record of leadership in multi-store environments, is required for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with internal and external partners
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Highly motivated/self-starter with a sense of ownership, a willingness to learn, and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Requires visual skills necessary to comprehensively review physical products.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting in the handling of work materials; up to 50lbs for a fully packed luggage item.
