Travelodge By Wyndham Outer Banks/Kill Devil Hills is looking for an energetic, friendly, passionate, responsible, and professional team member to join our maintenance team. The right candidate must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates. The position is responsible for maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance of the hotel in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean the pool area, check for trash and sweep area as needed
• Assist housekeeping with pulling linen and trash out of all check-out rooms
• Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment, etc. Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding health, and safety services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kill Devil Hills, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Property maintenance: 1 year (Required)
