Travel Leisure is seeking a Staff Accountant in the Payroll Accounting department. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various assigned functions in support of month-end close and the reporting process. This position will ensure the accuracy of payroll related expenses and liabilities, reconciliations, reports and data files. The position may also be involved in special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other requests from sales, marketing, corporate, resort management, HR and/or finance. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.
How You'll Shine:

• Month End Close Journals & Reporting
• Account Reconciliations
• Research and resolution of reconciling items and customer inquiries.
• Recording weekly payroll activity
• Performs other duties as needed.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA Preferred
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with focus on following processes and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, process and analyze a large volume of financial information in a timely manner.
• Candidate must be able to work well under pressure and time constraints due to the nature of the financial month-end close process and payroll deadlines.
• Self- starter with ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Intermediate Excel skill including basic formula, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.
• PeopleSoft, Payroll and Timeshare experience, preferred.
• 1-3 years accounting experience
