Summary of the Job: Provide members with professional financial services

Your job is to develop lasting relationships with our current membership and to help ensure that every member has a great experience when they deal with a TransWest Credit Union. Essential Functions:

1. Receives and processes member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments.
2. Transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
3. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
4. Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records.
5. Cross-sells credit union products and services that would benefit the member.
6. Conduct loan interviews, evaluate loan applications and documentation to determine credit worthiness
7. Support the branch manager in his/her role to maintain and grow the branch
8. Interview members to understand their financial situations and suggest the best products or services that meet their needs.
9. Proactively develop and maintain relationships with existing members and potential members
10. Refer members to appropriate credit union personnel in order to meet their financial needs (investments, mortgages)
11. Respond to member inquiries and concerns and create positive solutions for them and the credit union
12. Assisting Guest Members with Share Branching

Requirements/Necessary Skills:

1. High School Diploma
2. Good member service skills

Mathematical Skills:

Knowledge and experience with financial products and services a big plus. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to operate a personal computer, Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application, and relevant software to access the credit union's accounting system and member account information. Basic input, output, error correction, and general ledger account structure knowledge is essential to be able to perform the job.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type and happily interact with our Members. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
