Position Summary
The content strategy manager will collaborate closely with the director of marketing communications and the marketing content team to ensure the development and execution of a cohesive and high-performing content strategy. This role focuses on nurturing various prospect groups along the buyer journey through innovative content marketing and data-driven insights. The content strategy manager will also oversee the creation and implementation of content assets that elevate brand awareness, engage target audiences, and position the company as a trusted thought leader in the industry.
Essential Duties
Implement comprehensive content strategies across owned, earned, paid, and shared media to support the company's diverse business lines and align with organizational goals.
Manage the development and execution of a content audit and inventory.
Direct the creation and optimization of content for various platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and more.
Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to gather insights for content creation.
Oversee and manage the production of high-quality, SEO-optimized content, including multimedia assets such as videos, webinars, and infographics.
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure the timely and consistent delivery of quality content.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine content strategies.
Apply SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and enhance organic visibility and reach.
Foster effective team building and positive motivation between marketing and internal business unit customers.
Work with the digital marketing manager to analyze content performance metrics and generate reports to measure content effectiveness.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and content marketing best practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proven experience in developing comprehensive content marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
Strong collaboration skills to work with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners for content insights.
Proficiency in utilizing SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and enhance organic visibility.
Ability to quickly master procedures, processes, and systems.
Effective project management skills to handle multiple deliverables and tight deadlines simultaneously.
Strong business acumen with the ability to work through ambiguity.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in content marketing creation and strategy.
Experience managing vendor agencies and in-house resources for creative asset creation, ensuring accurate, on-budget, and on-time content delivery.
Experience with analytics and performance analysis of content marketing campaigns.
Experience with workflow/project management tools such as Wrike, Monday, Microsoft Project, or similar.
