THE OPPORTUNITY:

Director, Digital Marketing will be responsible for the development and execution of search engine marketing, marketing automation, and marketplace strategies that drive customer acquisition and incremental sales growth. The role will work in close collaboration with marketing communications, product management, sales teams, ecommerce, and other functional leaders to achieve its goals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead an effective digital marketing team focused on leveraging marketing technology to build awareness, acquire new customers, nurture loyalty, and measure performance
  • Manage marketplace strategy and identify opportunities to increase sales in key product categories 
  • Manage Pay-Per-Click (PPC) spend focused on understanding of customer search behavior and in collaboration with product management and other partners to ensure campaign relevance
  • Lead Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy, reviewing current web structure and content, setting a roadmap to improve organic rankings, and staying ahead of changing algorithms/trends
  • Leverage Marketing Automation to launch effective email nurture campaigns that create engagement, increase order frequency, and drive customer loyalty
  • Optimize Marketing Automation Platform, CRM, and other elements of the MarTech stack to generate actionable leads for the sales team, and measure overall effectiveness of campaigns
  • Develop new digital assets and online content that will create engagement within target segments and drive incremental traffic to Transtar and Transend websites
  • Introduce best practices for online merchandising 
  • Set key performance indicators and performance goals for the digital marketing team that drive strategic focus and provide management with a clear understanding of progress
  • Organize and segment customer data to increase relevance, support strategic initiatives, provide segmented reporting, and maintain marketing database health
  • Manage the digital marketing team budget, performance forecasting, monthly reporting, and ROI analysis
  • Coach and develop team members, hire new high potential talent, set clear performance expectations, and provide regular feedback
  • Continuously monitor competitor, customer, and market trends to evolve the strategy and anticipate future opportunities

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field 
  • At least 8 years of digital and content marketing experience with at least 4 years of experience in digital and content marketing leadership roles
  • Proven track record of leading digital marketing teams to drive sales growth aligned to the overall strategic objectives of the business
  • Strong experience leveraging Marketing Automation and CRM platforms to manage customer relationships and coordinate with the Sales organization
  • Strong Search Engine Marketing (SEM) experience, including Pay-per-Click (PPC) budget management and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy development
  • Experience working with marketplace stores and developing strategic growth plans for key storefronts
  • Proven success building brand awareness and driving new customer acquisition
  • Experience in B2B marketing and Account Based Marketing (ABM) best practices
  • Creative, innovative thinker able to apply new ideas and create positive change
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and building content strategy
  • Social media marketing experience
  • Strong team management and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites
