Description
TransSystems is look for an experienced mechanic to join our team. We have day cabs, pneumatics, flat beds, and dump trucks.
A mechanic will ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating up to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspecting equipment for proper performance
- Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts
- Repairing damaged equipment parts
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on vehicles and trailers
- Tire changes
- Road Calls
- And more
Shift: Monday through Friday 9am - 6pm and on call every 3rd weekend.
Requirements
Must meet the following requirements:
- Experience as a Diesel technician for TRACTOR TRAILERS for a minimum of 2 years.
- Verifiable experience with Mack trucks
- Extensive tire knowledge
- Ability to make service calls
- Have a Valid Class A CDL
The successful candidate will have had prior experience working as a diesel mechanic in the transportation and logistics industry. He/She must also be certified in diesel mechanics.
