Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. needs an experienced Parts Clerk to join our fleet service shop near Hammond, LA! The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive or heavy-duty truck parts. Dealership or fleet experience is preferred but not required.

Job Duties:

• Order parts from proper preferred vendors
• Generate POs and ensure original invoices are received promptly
• Check-in stock, check orders for accuracy, and stock shelves
• Create and manage bin locations
• Set up min/max stock levels and proper inventory levels
• Cycle count and full inventory
• Assists technicians with parts needed
• Answers incoming calls
• Picking up parts from vendors
• Keep a neat and organized Parts Dept., as well as storage trailers
• Check for the best available pricing of parts needed without sacrificing quality
• Ensures proper coding for parts
• Manage slow-moving parts
• Operates a forklift to load and unload parts
• Hold all warranty parts for proper manufacture time frame and dispose of them when expired
• Maintains confidentiality of all company information.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Completion of a high school education or equivalent
• Must hold a clean and valid driver’s license

Licenses/Certificates

• Maintenance of an unrestricted driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a forklift certification course
