Job Summary Job Description Summary To develop and implement robust maintenance plans for equipment on the company drilling units in line with company policy, procedures, and maintenance strategy. The specialist will work with Subject matter experts and field technicians to improve the maintenance plans based on rig feedback, lessons learned and data analysis. The specialist will be responsible for the changes to maintenance strategy and maintenance plans implemented in the company Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and identification and deployment of Condition monitoring (CM) systems and Condition based maintenance (CBM) techniques. Continuous improvement of CMMS data and development of equipment hierarchy for drilling units Job Description Key roles & Responsibilities Optimize and improve rig maintenance practices through continual review of standard Preventive and Predictive maintenance tasks, change requests raised by rig technicians and recommendations from the subject matter expert team. Recommend changes in PM tasks based on strategy, scope or policy and procedure changes to improve overall cost effectiveness and/or maintenance practices by using insights for historical maintenance data analysis. Develop and implement CBM strategy for the fleet and verify effectiveness and regulatory approval for new and emerging condition monitoring techniques for rig equipment systems, provided by original equipment manufacturers (OEM). Work with the company maintenance personnel to ensure proper standardization and set up of the CMMS so that the system provides valuable data with regard to maintenance history, trends, compliance with manufacturer recommendations, and company requirements Work with Reliability, Technical field support and Engineering groups to ensure that lateral learning from equipment failure root cause investigations is applied through the company system across the fleet Work on special projects as directed by management. Travel to company drilling units and project sites as needed to assist with CMMS support. Demonstrate commitment to company safety policies through leadership and guidance. Ensure regulatory requirements for environmental protection are complied with. . Education College degree or equivalent maintenance training and related experience. Experience Computerized maintenance systems. Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering or maintenance of offshore drilling systems, and background in core maintenance management. Skills and Special Requirements Computer knowledge, strong office application skills, strong oral and written communication skills Ability to understand and derive technical insights from maintenance trends for continuous improvement of company maintenance strategies.
