About the Company:

Translarity provides full wafer test solutions to the semiconductor industry. We are located in Fremont CA, Hutto, TX, Shanghai and Taiwan. This is a full-time role in the Hutto, TX office and will report to the Director of US Operations.

Position Purpose:

Translarity is in an aggressive growth phase and is seeking this role to help deliver state-of-the-art wafer test solutions to the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers and their suppliers.

Responsibilities will include:

· Develop and implement a Quality Management System, QA plan, and processes (including test methods and inspection plans) for the Hutto site.

· Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence

· Collecting and compiling statistical quality data

· Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality

· Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements

· Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods

· Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database

· Proposing improvements to the production process

· Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements

· Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training

· Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs

· Using microscope and gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products

· Determining the causes of product defects and reworks

· Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly

Skills and Qualifications:

· QMS Implementation experience a must

· QA Management experience a must

· Experience in inspection of printed circuit boards and electronic component assembly

· IPC standards certified

· Ability to read drawings and general understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (G&T)

· Familiarity with metrology and SPC charting

· Working knowledge of MS Office

· Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)

Education: Under-graduate degree and additional qualifications will be a plus
