We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of a Third-Party Tester for Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.

Applicants must be a current CDL Examiner . In this position, you will be responsible for implementing and rolling out a training program for our new applicants to help them obtain the proper credentials to driver a School Bus.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CDL requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assess and evaluate drivers' proficiency in operating commercial vehicles safely.

This position will pay between $35-$40 / hour.

Responsibilities :

Conduct CDL Skills Tests :

Administer practical skills tests for CDL applicants, ensuring they demonstrate the required knowledge and skills for safe operation.

Evaluate applicants' ability to handle commercial vehicles, including those with passenger and school bus endorsements.

Ensure Compliance :

Ensure that all testing procedures adhere to relevant federal and state regulations governing CDL issuance.

Stay updated on changes to CDL testing requirements and endorsement criteria.

Documentation and Reporting :

Complete accurate and detailed documentation of each test, recording results and providing feedback to applicants.

Generate reports and maintain records of all testing activities.

Communication :

Communicate effectively with CDL applicants, providing clear instructions and information about the testing process.

Collaborate with regulatory authorities, employers, and other stakeholders as necessary.

Equipment Maintenance :

Ensure that testing vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and in compliance with safety standards.

Professional Development :

Stay informed about best practices in CDL testing and driver training.

Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Customer Service :

Provide excellent customer service to CDL applicants, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL examiner.

Hold a valid CDL with the required endorsements for passenger and school bus operations.

In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations related to CDL testing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
