Supply Chain Specialist Job Summary

Job Summary: The Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role in optimizing our company's supply chain operations. They are responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement and logistics to inventory management and distribution. The primary goal is to ensure the efficient and seamless flow of materials and products, meeting customer demands while minimizing costs and maximizing operational effectiveness.

Supply Chain Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

· Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards

· Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and reduce stockouts or overstocks

· Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend appropriate action

· Work closely with carriers and freight forwarders to optimize delivery routes and transit times

· Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain process and propose and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs

· Streamline processes for order processing, procurement, and demand fulfillment to increase productivity and meet customer expectations

· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain operations

· Understand buyer’s logistical needs and how to meet them

· Direct the transport, inventory, and warehousing of materials and final products

· Design strategies to minimize time required to move goods

· Review a business’ supply chain logistics and identify areas to increase efficiency

· Present logistical performance data and suggest improvements to management

· Stay up-to-date on advances in logistics technologies and incorporate new technologies into procedures

· Provide strategic vision and thought leadership to drive continuous business process and culture improvement in Transglobal. Become fully involved in the thinking process of Transglobal’ s business, evaluating relevant processes and developing actions to enhance the Transglobal’ s business approach.

· Collect and analyze large quantities of Transglobal’ s related data, and identify performance gaps measured against established goals.

· React rapidly and proportionally to any sudden change in Transglobal ‘s market conditions to improve Transglobal ‘s processes.

· Candidate will be responsible for multiple locations with extended travel weekly between all locations in Cary, Upper Sandusky and Warren, OH.

Position will be based out of the Warren, Ohio facility .

Supply Chain Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or experience as a Supply Chain Specialist

· Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and demand forecasting

· Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software, forecasting tools)

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make informed decisions

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

· Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping procedures, and customs clearance is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
