Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • To ensure files are kept according to Federal, State & Local Laws and company policy.
  • To investigate or cause all accidents to be investigated.
  • To report and process all accidents and work-related personal injuries.
  • To track and analyze all work-related accidents.
  • Conducts monthly safety meetings for Operators and attend maintenance safety meetings.
  • To establish a safety program that addresses issues of performance, is comprehensive in nature and rewarding to employees as needed.
  • To interface with insurance carriers and adjusters to ensure that losses are kept to a minimum and that all required documentation and information is provided and entered in the system.
  • Assist the Safety Manager in complaint investigation as needed.
  • Ensures that safety is always in the forefront of activities for all employees.
  • Maintains all driver safety records.
  • Rely and advice to assist with Transdev Policy and Procedures regarding Workman's Compensations and On the Job Injuries
  • Conducts Ride-Checks as an as needed basis.
  • Coaching drivers regarding drive cam incidents.
  • Attend corporate safety meetings as needed.
Requirements:  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • College level education highly desired.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Transit Industry.
  • Ability to speak in front of a group.
  • Knowledge of RTD policies, procedures, fare structures, routes and schedules preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding the operation of a transit coach.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and teaching skills.
  • Proficient using windows-based software including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce including great customer service skills.
