Transdev Services, Inc. is in immediate need of a Body Shop Supervisor at its Baltimore facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the body shop, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the body shop.
• Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
• Manage and motivate a team of body shop technicians, ensuring that they are trained and developed to the highest standards.
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Liaise with insurance companies and customers to ensure that repairs are carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor and manage the body shop budget, ensuring that costs are kept within agreed limits.
• Implement and maintain systems and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the body shop operation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years body shop supervisor experience.
• 3 years hevay duty technican experience.
• Proven body shop operations and paint/repair experience.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• The ability to motivate and develop a team of technicians.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A customer-focused approach with a strong desire to exceed expectations.
• Ability to interpret and initiate policies and procedures.
• Considerable knowledge of and ability to use personnel computers and related software.
• Demonstrate ability to identify and understand problems and to determine the appropriate measures it takes to solve problems.
• Ability to manage customer relationships, provide strong customer service skills and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Proven organization skills, understanding importance of prioritizing effectively and managing multiple tasks in an environment with ever competing demands.

• 5% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
• 95% of work is accomplished in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions.
• Frequently stands and walks; ability to sit for up to three hours; walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to lift material weighing up to 100 lbs. with assistance; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch; and corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication.
• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
• Must be able to travel for company training, meeting or support missions.
