Be the Link That Saves Lives: Emergency Medical Dispatcher at Trans-Starr EMS

Trans-Starr EMS LLC is seeking a dedicated team player to join our Dispatch Center as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher!

Make a real difference by ensuring critical medical care reaches those in need. You'll be the first critical link in the chain of survival, receiving emergency calls from city dispatch centers and coordinating the response for both emergencies and non-emergency interfacility transfers. You'll assess situations, dispatch the most appropriate resources, and coordinate patient transportation as part of our close-knit team, playing a vital role in our company's success and patient satisfaction.

Here's what you'll do:

• Respond to emergency calls received from city dispatch centers, including 911 calls and mutual aid requests.
• Gather vital information from dispatchers and determine the urgency of the situation.
• Dispatch ambulance transportation teams based on patient needs.
• Provide accurate information and estimated arrival times to medical personnel.
• Act as a central point of contact for all agencies utilizing Trans-Starr EMS services.
• Remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient operations and timely patient care.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a high school diploma or GED.
• Has at least one year of experience in customer service or high-volume call environments (preferred, but not required).
• Possesses a working knowledge of medical terminology (we provide on-the-job training).
• Is fluent in English and Spanish.
• Holds a valid driver's license.
• Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Demonstrates reliable attendance.
• Thrives in a team environment and is committed to shared goals.

Certifications are a plus, but not required!

• Prior experience in emergency or non-emergency medical services is a plus, but we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to get you up to speed.
• Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification is a plus.
• CPR Certification is a plus.
