Perform the duties of a maintenance technician to cover the shift and help develop other technicians skills. Automation experience is required.

• Repair and modify production equipment; installation of new equipment & systems.
• Special projects as assigned.
• PLC and electronics troubleshooting to resolve equipment issues and make modifications as needed.
• Machinist tasks – tooling and building special parts
• Records management – paper and computer.
• Preventative maintenance on production equipment, forklifts, water & air systems, and building heating and cooling systems and other auxiliary systems/equipment.
• Follows all safety rules and ensures safety of all other employees.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Welding
• Plumbing
• Maintain parts inventory
• Provide shift coverage for vacationing technicians
• Provide “on-call” coverage

Qualifications and Skills

• HVAC a plus but not required

Required Skills (1 year minimum):

• Low and medium voltage work
• Electrical control systems including motor drives (PLC)
• Must possess knowledge and ability to understand, create, and/or modify electrical schematics
• Industrial Maintenance including installs and preventative maintenance
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• General metal fabrication
• Experience with air compressor systems
• Strong time management and task prioritization
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail
• Organizational skills

Maintenance workshop and manufacturing production environments. Work with high temperature equipment and materials. Lifting to 40 lbs. required. Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Weekend work may be required.

Hourly wage is based on experience.
