Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with diverse needs and abilities. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Implement individualized care plans and support goals
- Promote independence and community integration
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors
- Assist with medication administration as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Skills:
- Experience in residential group homes a plus
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous
- Understanding of patient care and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with nursing home or resident rights is a plus
- Ability to drive and transport individuals to appointments or activities
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards others
