Pre AP Algebra I, Pre AP Algebra II and Physics Tutor for a High School in the Aldine ISD

Provide all students with appropriate Algebra I and II learning experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; enable students to develop competencies and skills successfully to excel on the STAAR assessment.

• 9th grade
• On-site tutoring
• Monday - Thursday
• 8 - 15 hours per day
• Helps students understand and learn the hard and complicated concepts of physics during either push in, one-on-one sessions or group meetings. They also design lesson plans and give exercises to the pupils while keeping records of their educational progress.

Qualifications

Education/Certification
Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.

• Must be able to create tutoring plans
• Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups
• Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress
• Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of students
• Organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
Openness to change and innovation to meet the needs of all students

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
