We are a 30 year old family owned and operated business in the semi-trailer industry. We sell and service new and used equipment, parts, and load securement, for owner operators and fleets of OTR truck drivers.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is a key leadership role within the organization, requiring strong financial acumen and the ability to provide strategic guidance.

Duties:

- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, payroll, and financial analysis

- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships

- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls

- Provide guidance on financial concepts and best practices to senior management

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations, including IFRS

- Other related duties that may arise

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices

- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
