Main Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to coordinate the development and management of our Allegro CTRM platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in energy trading systems, a keen understanding of the Allegro platform, and the leadership skills to guide and assist multiple development teams towards achieving strategic objectives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring all development achieves its intended business goals, performance expectations, and conforms with Trafigura IT standards. You will act as a bridge between the technical team and product management team, ensuring that technical strategies and projects are effectively communicated and understood by all stakeholders. The Technical Lead is also expected to identify technical gaps and risks, proactive scaling of infrastructure, and lead all aspects of the design and maintenance of interfaces within the Allegro landscape. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Oversee the complete development lifecycle of technical enhancements to the Allegro platform, ensuring robust performance, scalability, and reliability. Take part in the architectural design and development of large, complex and high value extensions to the application as prioritized by the Trafigura business users and validated by Trafigura Business Analysts. Investigation of high severity Production issues to determine cause and work to resolve. Work closely with Trafigura Business Analysts to understand functional needs and translate them into technical solutions. Work closely with vendors and partners to implement solutions and processes in agreement with company security and architectural standards. Work closely with Trafigura IT teams to deploy and scale new instances as needed based on performance and expanding business usage. Collaborate with other Trafigura technical teams e.g. Infrastructure, Security & Data Sciences to ensure the alignment of the application set-up, design and usage to meet technical and business requirements. Responsible for the design and implementation of new system integrations and accountable for their support/maintenance Review of specifications and designs proposed by other members of the Trafigura IT project implementation and maintenance and support teams for Allegro at Trafigura. Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, performance bottlenecks and degradation Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure the adherence to best practices and quality standards. Maintain positive relationships with vendor representatives, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and access to support and resources. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on coding experience with Microsoft technologies and tools –.net, C# Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on SQL scripting, preferably in Oracle. Proven experience leading technical teams, with a track record of delivering sophisticated projects successfully. Significant experience of designing, development, and implementation of system integrations. Proficient in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and object-oriented designing techniques. Understands different programming languages and ability to solve problems in coding, testing and deployment. Experience implementing and supporting multiple system integration designs like messaging bus, RestAPIs, SFTP automation, Experience with analysis and delivering changes to improve application performance. Expert level understanding of object-oriented design and development. Experience in troubleshooting complex systems using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics or the likes. Experience: Several years of hands-on systems development of CTRM solutions, preferably on Allegro. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical lead role Experience of implementing systems for Power and Gas trading is highly beneficial. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with outsourced vendor partners is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Understanding of Commodities, Logistics, Financing, Accounting or Derivatives is highly beneficial. Competencies: Strong oral and written communications with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendor teams and global IT owners with attention to micro level details. Must be acclimatised working and dealing with client managers / senior management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong change management skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines. Capable of working in groups as well as independently. Professional management of employee relationships at all levels. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Team player with an enthusiastic approach to fresh challenges and willing to help others.
