Traffic Engineering Services is looking for a Permit Expeditor- Project Coordinator with experience in traffic control to join our growing team.

As a Permit Expeditor-Project Coordinator, you will be interacting with different governments and other groups to navigate and coordinate the permit process for our clients.

You will communicate the client's project needs to the appropriate permitting office either in-person or online, where needed.

This is a vital customer service role and project management role. You should be able to deliver timely and effective communications in a professional manner. Multitasking and comprehending client's needs are essential for this position.

General Responsibilities

• Obtain pertinent information for new or repeat customers to be able to apply for appropriate permits
• Verify the viability of projects through various map websites
• Initiate and coordinate the permitting process with the respective localities
• Manage the workflow to complete the permitting process
• Travel to the various localities where needed to complete the process
• Communicate with the customers any barriers or challenges to receive a permit
• Ensure the receipt of permit before the project’s launch date
• Upload documents, permits, and pictures of the project into company software
• Manage, coordinate, and where necessary execute, the proper postings for project announcements
• Other Duties as assigned

Skills

· Previous experience with traffic control projects desired

· Previous experience communicating and interacting with permitting offices

· Proven work experience as a Permit Expeditor in traffic control.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

· Professional attitude and appearance

· Solid written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

· Excellent organizational skills

· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

· Customer service attitude
