Traditions of America is Hiring a Land Development Manager Near Berwyn, PA

Overview

Traditions of America, a national leader in the development of 55 lifestyle communities, seeks an experienced Land Development Manager with a passion for residential real estate development to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will meet the qualifications listed below.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

In this dynamic role as Land Development Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of land development, including due diligence and planning site improvements, site budgeting, site contractor selection, site construction, and the final transition and dedication processes. The Land Development Manager will directly oversee engineering design, estimating, budgeting, development, and dedication of site improvements.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily land development across all PA & VA operations
  • Managing contracts, verify work completion, and monitor progress
  • Meet with government agencies, inspectors and HOA’s
  • Review plats and engineering plans pertaining to land development
  • Coordinate land development work with homebuilding operations
  • Project dedication and bond release work
  • Manage and direct objectives and schedules for engineering and professional consultants
  • Track, monitor, and update project timelines routinely to management
  • Establish and maintain accurate project schedules, budgets and change orders
  • Bond maintenance
  • Land acquisition support – assist or lead project due diligence efforts
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • All other duties assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem analysis
  • Effective verbal and written communication across all levels, both internally and externally
  • Advanced construction drawing comprehension
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant experience

This job requires the employee to stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs. The position requires fine motor skills of typing, writing, visual acuity, and the ability to speak clearly and understandably. Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
