Job description
Sample contents of incoming drums and directs drums to the appropriate processing area.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory, sample, label incoming drums with appropriate process codes.
- Record weights, physical state, size and type of drums.
- Approve drums to be moved to the appropriate inventory area.
- Complete log sheets.
- Warehouse housekeeping, i.e. clean up, sweeping, trash pick-up and disposal.
- Stacking of inventory.
- Maintain inventory supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a science field or equivalent experience in a related field is desirable.
- Successful completion of Hazwoper training.
- Must pass the OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination.
- Must have physician certification to wear respirator.
Experience:
- Two (2) years’ experience in similar industrial operation performing inventory and quality control activities is desirable.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Must be well organized.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication,
- Ability to read, understand, and apply common operational documents, SOP’s, manifests, bills' of lading.
- Ability to work independently with little to minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task.
