Main Purpose
As an outside lab tech with Tradebe, you will perform day to day laboratory duties including collecting & testing samples (Outside) that Tradebe is receiving at our plants and supervisor your assigned shift. The type of testing typically includes a variety of hazardous waste and chemicals. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hazardous materials, chemicals, and chemistry knowledge. This position requires you to be outside 90% of your shift.

Key job responsibilities

• Wet chemistry laboratory duties including: pH, moisture, oxidation, titration
• Daily Processing of waste samples to include but not limited to: Fuel compatibility, bomb calorimetry, GC analysis, metals analysis
• Daily equipment calibration: Calorimeter, pH meter, GC-MS, GC-FID
• Additional laboratory support in the areas of standards preparation, record keeping and other general laboratory duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science and /or related fields.
• Must successfully complete Hazwoper training.
• Experience performing wet chemistry procedures
• Gas chromatography experience and general lab practices are desirable.
• Hazardous material training.
• Previous supervisory experience a plus.
