Group Health and Life Account Executive:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Group Health and Life Account Executive to join our team. This is a new position within the company due to growth of the department. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing an assigned book of business while developing long-term relationships with clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong knowledge across all employer-sponsored health and welfare related plans, including federal and state regulations and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge on Health & Welfare Benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary lines of coverage.
  • Experience with vendor/carrier products and small group medical quoting system.
  • Superior customer service traits to accommodate client requests and address all servicing needs.
  • Prepare renewals and RFPs, coordinate with carriers/underwriting/producers regarding responses, support negotiations, analyze and spreadsheet proposal results and develop client presentations.
  • Keep informed with industry information, new product information, new laws and regulations that are applicable to benefits.
  • Knowledge of technology for HR resources, compliances and regulatory data, and online benefit portal / enrollment programs.
  • Accountable for updating client information, in timely manner, within appropriate software (e.g. Mineral, Brokerage Builders, Benefit Central, Employee Navigator…)
  • Prepare materials for and run client open enrollment meetings. These may be online or in person.

Skills, Requirements and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Group Health and Life Account Executive/CSR with demonstrated success in this or a similar role; Minimum of 2-5 years of experience managing group accounts.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance License.
  • Experience with Benefit Central Quoting Platform.
  • Brokerage Builder or equivalent management system experience.
  • Client-facing experience in employee benefit industry.
  • Knowledge of HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services.
  • Organization & Prioritization Skills are essential to succeed in this multi-faceted position, with frequent changes in velocity & exposure to multiple resources.
  • Exceptional interpersonal relations and advanced communication & consultative skills
  • Goal oriented and time management skills.

Preferred:

  • Employee Navigator experience.
  • Benefit Compliance related experience a plus: Minerals platform, COBRA administration, Section 125, Section 105, EISA Wrap Documents and Form 5500 filing.
  • Series 6 Licensed and Annuity/Mutual Funds experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
