As the Senior Interior Designer, you will have responsibility and ownership of assigned projects and will lead the creation of a project’s comprehensive interiors scheme - with proactive responsibility for the coordination of interior architecture, programming, space planning, and material selections to be approved. The goal of this position is to be a team lead for the design, selection, and specification of all FF&E and be responsible for the design and technical coordination for all facets of the interior design package. You will keep design projects moving in a positive, professional manner and guide and supervise the work and professional development of the Junior Designer. Projects are planned and executed on time, and meet project and profit goals with high customer satisfaction while bringing a strong, creative, innovative design to all projects.

You are a strong candidate if you have an extreme eye for creativity and unique design solutions that are proactively curated, a background in high end residential interior design plus new construction, have creative and innovative design capabilities, and can successfully define and manage project requirements, schedule and budget.

This is a full-time position working 5 days/week from our Dallas, TX studio with flex work day benefits. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits, including paid time off, bonus potential, medical insurance stipend, plus other perks including a paid professional membership.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Interior Design from an accredited college or university or commensurate certification and experience
  • An exceptional design portfolio and demonstrated creative, innovative and sophisticated design capabilities with an aesthetic that meets the needs of TCI clientele
  • Knowledge of residential furniture lines and furniture selling skills & experience
  • Knowledge and experience in residential new construction
  • Proven experience leading a project from concept to completion
  • Good familiarity with project tracking software (TCI uses Asana), Studio Designer, Zoom video conferencing, and Dropbox
  • Proficiency in 3D renderings preferred; 2D a must
  • Auto-CAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Photoshop
  • Sketchup proficiency is a preferred but not required (hand sketching abilities are helpful)
  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Have reliable transportation and a reasonable commute to Dallas, TX studio
  • Be able to work onsite and travel to client projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage project start to close including project profitability
  • Lead staff to execute a project in a positive, professional and profitable manner
  • Establish positive, professional client, contractor and vendor relations
  • Create designs, architectural models, renderings and drawings (2D a must, 3D preferred)
  • Designs for bathrooms, kitchens and furniture layouts
  • Detailed permit and construction drawing sets, including plans, elevations and sections
  • Design and create construction drawings for custom built-ins and furniture
  • Develop floor plans, elevations and CAD drawings
  • Create client mood boards, presentations and specifications
  • Research and select materials, finishes, furnishings and fixtures
  • Lead installation process, coordinate deliveries, photoshoot and handle post installation returns
  • As part of TCI’s leadership team, contribute to exceptional results and future revenue and profitability growth, developing the team and fostering our positive company culture

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
