Credit and Collection Specialist

Reports to: Controller

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with customers effectively, execute collection activities and deliver result within expectation, reconcile daily/monthly AR balance with customer records, address delinquent payments & discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with various internal business functions, Order Fulfillment, Sales, Logistics, Legal and Accounting.
• Perform in depth credit and financial analysis on new and existing customers to determine recommend credit limits in accordance with company guidelines and procedures based on available financial information of the customers, trade and bank references, publications and information provided by sales for new/existing accounts.
• Perform credit limit and sales forecast assessment and scrutiny analysis by quarterly basis.
• Experience with credit insurer such as Coface for credit insurance application and insurance claim when there is uncollectable.
• Managing major accounts and with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Provide ad hoc activities/projects on an as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of all customer account data, cash posting.
• Assisting Accounts Receivable daily operation:

o Apply cash receipts to customer accounts daily

o Make A/R collection calls on daily basis

o Answer customer and salesperson inquiries, resolve disputes and discrepancies with customer

o Set up new customer and maintain credit limit setting in ERP system

o Assist monthly, mid-year and year end physical inventory count

o Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.

o Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.

o Assist with month end and year end closings.

o Complete special accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or business administration, or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Mandarin speaking is a plus, Retail/Channel business experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate to advance experience with MS Excel.
• Adherence to policies, procedures and supervisor’s instructions.
• Strong problem solving ability, result-drive, must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skill.
• Must be able to take ownership of his/her work and work independently.

Employees work in the office Monday - Thursday and work from home on Friday.
