Marina Maintenance Manager - Connecticut Portfolio

Position Description

The Regional Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance of the designated facilities. This role is required to perform, manage, direct, and supervise maintenance services within the specified marinas. Facilities include Noank Shipyard, Spicer's Marina, Mystic Pointe Marina, Old Harbor Marina.

  • Perform all general repair and maintenance related to the marina
  • Manage, direct, supervise and perform maintenance services for the marina and associated facilities
  • Work with Regional Manager, General Manager & Dockmaster to supervise employees and sub-contractors as needed to effectively manage maintenance projects
  • Responsible for interior and exterior maintenance, dock, and associated asset repairs, and grounds keeping
  • Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of electrical, masonry, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and cleaning
  • Maintain landscaping as required
  • Developing and maintaining effective, friendly, professional working relationships with staff, Members, guests, and vendors
  • Availability to work overtime, weekends, and evenings when required
  • Other duties as assigned by RM and GM
  • Assist RM and GM on budgeting for maintenance work as well as capital projects
  • Work with RM and GM to manage and complete projects including permitting, quotes, or estimates
  • With approval requisition of needed tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete the assigned tasks or projects
  • Organize work area and maintain tools and equipment to the highest safety standards. Ensure routine maintenance of tools, vehicles and assets is completed as dictated by schedule
  • Assist with maintaining proper DEEP and OSHA compliance

Technical and Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2-5 years' marina experience preferred
  • Ability to work safely around the water
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge and experience in Electrical, Plumbing, and carpentry preferred
  • Basic boat handling skills preferred
  • Knowledge of dock construction and repair preferred
  • Knowledge of basic power tools preferred
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Outlook familiarity for scheduling of work/projects and communication
