**Job Summary:**
Under limited supervision, develops and deploys procurement strategies for leveraging commodities used at all company facilities using highly effective sourcing processes that include purchase planning, coordination with Category Managers and internal clients, supplier qualification and selection, and follow-up. Establishes, maintains, and utilizes internal client and vendor networks to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of required commodities. Validates that all purchases are aligned with overall category management needs.
**Job Roles and Responsibilities:**
* In concert with Category Managers, deploys the procurement strategy for leveraging purchases, technically complex commodities and/or major projects for sites
* Responsible for negotiating and executing terms and conditions for local, regional, and national purchase agreements as well as managing their effective administration within contract management system
* Conducts and manages sourcing events, bids and quotation requests for assigned commodities
* Ensures accurate definition of requirements, negotiates purchases, and maintains an effective procurement process consistent with company control guidelines
* Interacts regularly with technically oriented internal and external customers to communicate and/or negotiate complex issues
* Establishes and utilizes a site support network for timely acquisition of materials and services while achieving best overall value
* Key liaison with the manufacturing/business/commercial organizations to ensure continuity of supply consistent with operations planning and production schedules
* Accountable for cost savings and avoidances through effective contract management, negotiation, sourcing process utilization and contract leakage control.
* Responsible for coordination between Category Managers and internal clients to ensure that contract requirements and strategies are effectively executed
* Strong internal customer service and support ethic
* Provide sourcing support during contingent operations such as storms or turnarounds including outside of normal working hours.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelors degree in a supply chain, financial, or engineering curriculum preferred
* Five years experience (minimum of 10 years required in lieu of a degree) in procurement, materials management, manufacturing, or commercial business processes
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* CPSM or C.P.M. certification a plus
* Effective project leadership, teamwork, communication, writing, and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated computer skills including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and good understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning applications
* A strong desire to work in a highly transformational environment that allows rapid personal growth
* Non-durable goods manufacturing, energy or chemical industry experience is desirable
* Strong conceptual ability and highly developed analytical skills
* Excellent influence management skills and the ability to (directly and indirectly) engage diverse people across multiple disciplines
* Proven presentation and communication skills
* Knowledge of RFQ/RFP process for Capital projects.
