TPC is Hiring a Medical Scribe (in-person clinical experience) Near Sugar, TX
Our medical practice is seeking medical scribes to assist clinicians in documenting medical history, documenting physical examinations, documenting assessment and plan in Athena EMR. Scribes collaborate with our clinical staff and work under physicians and PAs/Nurse practitioners. This position also includes a triage and intake component, where staff obtain vitals and verify past medical history.
As a member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and work in two roles: as a medical scribe and working with one of our providers, and as an intake ( back-office clinical support staff member.)
Experience is not necessary and training will be provided.
Training will focus on medical terminology and knowledge necessary to succeed in the role. We are looking for motivated candidates who have a passion for the medical field and have a desire to work and learn in a high paced, team environment while taking on an array of relevant clinical duties
Flexible schedule allows for those who are applying to graduate school to gain clinical experience
Candidates must have the following for consideration:

- Ability to work and thrive in fast-paced environment
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Time management skills
- Type 60 wpm
- Punctuality
- must be available to work Mon - Thurs (variable schedule)
Pre-med and Pre-PA students are encouraged to apply. Preference for candidates in gap year (no classes). High school applicants WILL NOT be considered.
Seasonal applicants will not be considered.
Must be willing to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status upon hire or be willing to undergo vaccination within 30 days of hire
Please note that this is an in-person position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
