Job Description
Primary Purpose: This position entails processing deals when they come into accounting.
Measures of Success
- Ability to Take Ownership, Be Transparent, Take the High Road, and Celebrate Small Successes.
- Ability to take ownership of the deals turned in to ensure they are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform auditing of deals and contracts and to post the data to Accounting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all customer information incompliance to customer privacy laws.
- Process customer deals when coming into accounting.
- Check the deals to make sure all paperwork is in the deal and sure all paperwork is filled out correctly
- Post deals into accounting.
- Keep all customer information private and secure as to prevent fraud.
- Produce month-end workpapers to address specific financial results/metrics to be used as part of the monthly financial reporting package.
- Physical Inventory monthly
- Backup Bank Deposit
- Weekly Sales Spiff Entry
- Journal Entries as needed
- New/Used inventory cleanups with deal adjustments
- Maintain Deal Log book and in balance with F&I and Accounting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong general accounting knowledge
- Well versed in using MS Excel
- Commitment to financial prudence and accounting diligence
- A history of success in a team environment
- Ability to utilize technology and programs to drive efficiency and stay current with our technology training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, web, phone, in-person)
- Strong, creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative and think critically to identify improvement opportunities
- Ability to take ownership of the details – large and small
- Decision making that demonstrates good judgment
- Clean motor vehicle record and criminal background record
