Who we're looking for
Toyota's Final Assembly Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support in development and implementation of new model preparation at NAMC sites.
The person in this role will support the Production Engineering Assembly department's objective support Assembly Process and Equipment Development for New model launch, Refurbishment and Kaizen primarily at TMMTX, TMMBC and TMMGT.
What you'll be doing
  • (10%) Project Planning for upcoming model changes
  • (20%) Simultaneous Engineering for assembly of vehicle with TMC & TTC
  • (70%) Project Management over process setup & equipment procurement
  • Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions
  • Lead the project development through process design, equipment specification, procurement & installation based on project milestones
What you bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Tech, or similar technical degree
Experience working in Production Engineering or Manufacturing Preparation
  • Equipment Sourcing and Installation Experience
  • Project Management experience including schedule/risk assessment creation and KPI Management
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to all NAMCs, Mexico and Japan
  • Experience working with Catia and AutoCAD including the ability to read, interpret and modify drawings
Added bonus if you have
  • Experience in one or more new model launch preparation
  • Assembly Production Engineering experience
  • Completion of TBP through panel
  • Equipment Controls experience
  • Automotive conveyor system experience
