Division description

Embedded in the R&D organisation, European Projects (EP) is in charge of development of local vehicles, Innovation strategy, as well as Circular Economy and Carbon neutrality planning. EP is the point where long term innovation meets market implementation.

Your project

The overall project goal is to develop a user-friendly tool enabling the various Carbon Neutral transformation internal stakeholders across the company to combine their forces to enable the transition to decarbonized mobility and a sustainable mobility freedom for all.

Over the last year, the CO2 planning team has developed a tool concept, outline and introduced base functionalities into a minimum viable product (MVP). Working closely with the Product Owner, your role as developer is to transfer and scale-up the existing MVP into a Data Platform environment. You will liaise with the data sources owners to align on how to enter data streams to the platform and maintain these data pipelines. You will also create an interface in which users can build and evaluate diverse decarbonation scenarios, comparing lifecycle CO2 footprint reduction and cost.

Your Profile

Your profile

• Student in higher education program, with at least 2 years of study completed, ideally in IT or Engineering.
• Fluent in English, proficiency in other languages is an asset.
• You have interest in developing IT tools, with customer-first mindset, building value for internal systems users.
  • Prior knowledge of Data Platform software ”Dataiku” is a strong asset.
  • Prior knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
• You have an analytical mindset and approach problems with a structured methodology.
• You have an open personality and can work independently in a diverse business environment.

Duration

Target is 6 months, with an absolute minimum of 4 months.

Confidentiality

Due to confidentiality requirement of R&D, there will be limitation to what can be published in the internship report. This constraint needs to be adressed with candidate/university/school in advance.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
