SUMMARY
Atlanta Fork Lifts, Inc. is looking for a Battery Utility Tech to join our winning team! This position is responsible for performing various shop duties as assigned to maintain the battery shop and warehouse facilities in good order.
Assist and provide back up support to the Battery Technicians, and service manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will cover various duties throughout the warehouse for the Battery division. Working to keep the warehouse organized and clean will be a primary responsibility, this includes unloading trucks, tagging inventory, and prepping batteries and equipment for shipment.
The Battery Utility Tech will also help the in-house technicians, as needed, with various battery testing and repair. Miscellaneous tasks around the warehouse will be assigned as needed.
Requirements
SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Load and unload batteries and equipment on and off delivery trucks
Perform shipping and receiving functions at dock
Stage and prep batteries and equipment for service technicians
Make sure all items such as batteries and chargers in warehouse and shop are properly tagged
Make sure equipment, shop inventory supplies, tools and materials are put away properly
Keep warehouse floors clean
Empty trash receptacles daily or as needed.
Assist technicians with minor repairs, maintenance, and testing
Deliver and receive parts and or batteries when needed
Perform miscellaneous jobs as needed
Ensure everything is secured at the end of every day
Must follow all procedures in the company's Employee Handbook
Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment regarding safety
Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.
Learn 5 S / ASEC skills and maintain them in the shop
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This position requires some type of mechanical experience or training. Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Position requires a favorable driving record. This position requires someone who is self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently, willing to comply with employee handbook, safety, and shop policies, possess good organizational skills and able to take direction.
This position must be able to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via telephone.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must have and maintain a favorable driving record.

The ability to maneuver up to 125 lbs. with assistance of equipment or other team members.
