Township Building Services is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Portland, OR

Location:

  • Portland, Oregon area

Schedule:

  • 3:30 PM Pacific - Midnight Pacific
  • Monday - Friday; some weekends as needed

Salary:

  • $65,000 - $70,000 / Annually

Overview:

At Township we pride ourselves on our in depth relationships with customers and the ability to find solutions to their needs. As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the efficiency, quality, and profitability of our janitorial services. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, maintaining client relationships, and implementing strategies to ensure the continued success of our company.

The successful candidate will possess a self-starting, can-do attitude, excellent communication and proven customer & employee relationship skills. Has a proven and verifiable track record successfully managing multiple accounts/buildings in a large region and has the ability to represent our firm in a highly professional manner.

The candidate must have 5 years experience in the industry or a related industry and be available to travel, take emergency calls 24/7 and have the motivation to succeed in a challenging work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of janitorial staff.
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes excellence.
  • Develop and implement standardized cleaning procedures, schedules, and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong client and employee relationships through regular communication and site visits.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Receive client satisfaction surveys and act on feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize the departmental budget.
  • Control expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve cost efficiency.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure services consistently meet or exceed company standards.
  • Implement corrective actions and improvements as necessary.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and workflow efficiencies.
  • Implement best practices and technology solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements.

Skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish / English, Preferred
  • Proven experience in janitorial or facilities management, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Budget management and financial acumen.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to a safe working environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Compensation:

  • Salary, Healthcare Coverage, Dental Coverage, Company Car

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
