Townley Engineering and Manufacturing is Hiring a Grounds Maintenance Near Candler, FL
- Safely cut grounds using hand, power and riding mower
- Safely operate power equipment and vehicles such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws
- Safely use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
- Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
- Assist with barn tasks such as making repairs to the barn and pastures, and putting out hay bales for the cows.
- Repair and maintain tractors, vehicles and power equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- 1 to 2 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Farm experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (bale of hay) unassisted
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete
- Ability to tolerate excess heat and humidity
- Safe operation of all tools
- Ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
Required PPE: Safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
