Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Clerk will perform routine clerical duties to support the pharmacy. This position plays a vital role in supporting the operations of a pharmacy and ensuring that customers receive quality service.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets customers, answers phones, calls customers, addresses inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
• Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.
• Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phones, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
• Processes sales transactions, handling cash, credit, and debit payments and ensure accuracy in monetary transactions.
• Processes online orders, including entry, packing, and shipping.
• Maintains cleanliness, keeping the pharmacy area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Works collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An interest in working in a pharmacy environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
