TOWN RIVERHEAD is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator Near Riverhead, NY
Job Summary:
The Town of Riverhead is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Sanitation division of the Engineering department. This is a full-time position which requires weekend work, with 2 weekdays off each week.
Duties:
- Performs manual labor in the sanitation department
- Picking up trash from sides of Town roads due to evictions by the county
- Operates the back of a packer truck loading Town dumpsters at various Town facilities
- Operates packer truck, driving to dumpster sites
- Empty trash barrels found at facilities in a packer truck
- Operates front end loader of 2.5 cubic yards
- Check yard waste stickers on vehicles for validity
- Running the day-to-day operations of the yard waste facility
- Any other duties as determined by the Town Supervisor and/or their designee.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,103.20 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
